Health & Safety Engineer (Iraqi | Local hire)

• Supervise site HSE programs to ensure compliance with established standards
• Audit permit-to-work systems for effectiveness and adherence
• Review the quality of task risk assessments (TRA) and job safety analyses (JSA)
• Participate actively in SIMOPS planning and execution
• Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
• Own the closure of RCA and CAPA items, tracking progress diligently
• Oversee toolbox programs and their consistent delivery
• Coordinate emergency response drills to test preparedness
• Report on leading and lagging HSE KPIs
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance
• Manage the HSE induction program for all site personnel
• Coordinate management walkdowns and safety tours

• Possess a recognized HSE qualification such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent
• Demonstrate significant site HSE experience on oil and gas projects
• Have practical experience with permit-to-work systems
• Be proficient in incident investigation methods
• Show familiarity with emergency response protocols
• Exhibit strong report writing and HSE statistics compilation skills
• Command English working proficiency

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
• Behavioural safety program experience
• Previous rotational or remote-site assignments
• Arabic language ability

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
