Certified Structural Steel Welder (Iraqi | Local hire)

• Lead a welding crew, providing direction and oversight for structural welding activities
• Ensure strict compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) across all joints
• Maintain accurate weld maps and traceability records for all completed work
• Monitor and actively work to reduce weld repair rates through best practices
• Coordinate closely with Quality Control (QC) and NDT teams for weld releases
• Manage welding consumable control, ensuring proper storage and issue
• Adhere strictly to hot-work permit requirements and procedures
• Conduct toolbox talks and deliver HSE briefings to the welding crew

• Possess valid coded-welder qualification
• Demonstrated experience in structural welding, including fit-up and tack welding
• Ability to interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and weld maps
• Proven experience on oil and gas site projects
• Basic proficiency in English for site communication

• Multiple process codings (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
• Experience with duplex and super-duplex materials
• Exposure to shutdown and turnaround projects
• Previous rotational or remote-site assignments
• Arabic language ability
• 6G Welder Performance Qualification (ASME Section IX)
• Welder Qualification to ISO 9606-1 (Steels)
• AWS Certified Welder
• Authorised Gas Tester (AGT)
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction
• IOSH Working Safely certification
• H2S Awareness (OPITO-approved) certification
